Gap's new "Bridging the Gap" campaign features 14 different celebrities and was casted, directed, and styled by British Vogue editor Edward Enniful. Priyanka Chopra, Christie Brinkley, Yara Shahidi, Wiz Khalifa and many more were brought together to sport the same classic white tee, and this symbolized the optimistic American style that Gap celebrates.
I truly hope that this "trend" does not catch on! It's so....ugly!!! I don't know what else to say really. Kate Bosworth was the first to be seen in this Jil Sander's prairie dress and I thought that would be the first and last time I saw this thing on the red carpet. But for some strange reason other celebrity women are actually wearing the same dress, just in different colors. I don't understand how something so cheap and tacky looking could be considered as fashion. It may have looked good on the runway but this does not translate into the real world! What do you think--would you ever wear this?
Coachella Music Festival kicked off last week and Jay-Z was one of the big performers of the night. Beyonce also joined her man Jay-Z onstage to perform together for his song Forever Young. Previous to hitting the stage Beyonce enjoyed the concert just like everyone else, sitting stage side watching the other acts. And of course she looked very cute and ready for summer in her Wildfox Couture’s J’Taime Ice Cream megababe tank-top and little jean shorts! I so wish I was there! I'm really hoping to hit up a concert this summer.
You know I can never stay away from my favorite store Forever 21. This past week I was there again with my best friend and I found a little outfit for Spring. The whole look is pretty much from F21 and I really loved the cropped silk shirt. However, I was a bit turned off from the price...but that's ok. Altogether the outfit came in at $36! I did save a little cash on the cami and sandals though since I already owned them. Take a look and let me know what you think.
Closer Look:
Silk Wave Vision Top, $22.80
Basic Knit Cami, $2.50 ~ Slant Change Pocket Short, $14.80 (on sale for $10.50)
My sandals were by Route 66 from K-Mart, but I'm sure you can find these anywhere
Key Hole Thong Slingback Flat Sandals, $16.99 from AMI Clubwear
I was searching the Forever21 website the other day and I saw these cute Laker t-shirts. These would be perfect for me since I'm a proud Laker girl and Laker fanatic. I might have to buy all three! Love them, take a look at another one of my favorite Laker tees I got at Sears!
I'm not too sure how old this picture is but I saw Paris Hilton wearing this shirt and I thought it was sooo cute! My guess is judging from her BF in the pic, she probably got this shirt within the last two years, so there's still hope that I can find one for myself. Is it sad that I can guess her wardrobe timeline by looking at who she was dating for the moment?!
Once again Bape has worked with one of my style icons, Kanye West, for their latest lookbook, which advertises their Spring 2010 collection. The collection includes new styles of belts, shirts, work trousers, tees, and varsity jackets and even incorporates a mixture of Japanese and American style aesthetics. Overall everything looks pretty good, but I'm not a fan of the typical Baby Milo hoody, which seems to be a staple piece in all of their collections. (s)
This weekend Kid Cudi debuted his new Kid Cudi x Baby Milo T-shirt in downtown LA. All BAPE stores in Los Angeles will be releasing a limited edition tee and if you were lucky enough to be there and grab one, Cudi made in store appearances on Sunday to autograph the shirts for fans. People lined up and waited out front of shops all day and all night. Personally, I would have shown up just to meet him and not so much for the shirt. Recently, within the last week, he was just kicked off the Lady Gaga tour but I guess things are working out fine for him.
