DIY Studded Sneakers

Speaking of shoes, here is a cool little DIY I found the other day. Studded shoes, or studded anything actually, has been quite popular for a while now--and I don't think the trend is going anywhere. So if you like studs like me, then this easy but cute DIY is for you. All you need is a pair of canvas shoes, glue, studs, and toothpicks! Also, if you want to try this out but don't want to experiment on an expensive pair of Vans or Keds, then you can head to Forever21 and grab a pair of canvas tennis shoes for only $6.50! I bought a pair in white but they also come in neon yellow and navy blue.

Start by squeezing a small amount of E6000(Glue) into a disposable container or onto a wooden popsicle stick. Dispensing a small amount at a time prevents the glue from drying too quickly. Using the tip of a toothpick, apply a small dollop of glue onto the back of a spike.

Press the spike into the sneaker, holding it in place for a few seconds.

Continue adding spikes along the shoe’s baseline and working upwards in horizontal lines.

Arrange the spikes, without glue, into awkward spaces before attaching them.

Glue spikes onto the heel cap, again working horizontally.

Allow the shoes to dry overnight before wearing them!

I Want One!

As much as I love fashion and dressing up, sometimes I just want to stay in sweats all day! I love hoodies (or any top with a hood for that matter) and I have always wanted a few Victoria's Secret Pink hoodies. So I was very excited when I learned they were having their big semi-annual sale with Pink sweats only half-the-price. Unfortunately everything is already picked over or sold-out and I am so angry at myself for not checking out their website sooner! Now I am still in search of a few cute sweatshirts and I have reverted to shopping at my fave store, Forever21. But I can't decide which ones I want. I know they are not the same as VS hoodies but they are still pretty nice!

The F21 Little Black Dress

I now live just 5 minutes away from a Forever 21 and it's becoming a real problem for me. I am there all the time, which is a bit sad since it's only been open for a week! But that's beside point. The good part is that I have now found a few LBDs that I could wear on New Year's Eve. I love little black dresses and I already own a ton but I can't help but to buy another. Here are a few that I like so help me decide which one is the best!

Kendall Jenner Modeling Portfolio

Little sister of the famous Kardashian trio, Kim, Kourt, and Khloe has shot the first images of her modeling portfolio. She was signed to Wilhelmina Modeling agency last year and shot an ad campaign with Forever 21 a while back! Now she is taking her modeling more seriously and I think she is going to have a big career in the industry. She is only 14 and already looks like a professional! And she sure is lucky that she has Kim Kardashian as a mentor. Check out some her shots here, they are very cute and she kind of looks like Khloe!

Shoe Time

So for a while now I have been craving for a pair of open-toe booties! There are so many different brands and styles out there, that I don't even know where to begin my search. And on top of that, I am such a shoe fanatic that I love every pair I see and I can't make up my mind. Thankfully, I saw a pair at forever21 that I like and fits my style (and price range). But I'm still not 100% sure if I should get them. What do you think--Should I or Shouldn't I?

Fashion Trends: Tie Dye Bleached Jeans & DIY

I was doing a little spring cleaning, going through all my clothes and rearranging my closet, and I realized that I have a ton of jeans. About 30+ pairs or so. I don't wear them all, but for some reason I can't seem to give them up. So I decided instead of just throwing them out, I am going to try and revamp them. For the last few months I have been wanting to buy a pair of bleach washed skinny jeans but they can be a bit expensive, so now I'm going to create my own! But first check out a few different styles worn by some of my favorite celebs.

Now here is a video that I followed to create my own. I used a pair of skinny jeans from Forever21, that only cost $9.99. Go with a less expensive pair or your least favorite just in case you make a mistake, or if they don't turn out the way you like.

You will need:

1. Bleach (2 parts water to 1 part bleach)

2. Old pair of jeans

3. Rubber-bands

4. Rubber gloves

Tightly bunch up a section of your jeans with a strong rubber-band. Do the same all over your jeans until they are rolled up in a tight ball and covered in rubber-bands. Put on gloves and dunk jeans into bleach mixture. Keep bleaching until you get the desired color. Take off rubber-bands and dry jeans, then wash and your done!

Shopaholic Session

You know I can never stay away from my favorite store Forever 21. This past week I was there again with my best friend and I found a little outfit for Spring. The whole look is pretty much from F21 and I really loved the cropped silk shirt. However, I was a bit turned off from the price...but that's ok. Altogether the outfit came in at $36! I did save a little cash on the cami and sandals though since I already owned them. Take a look and let me know what you think.
